Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar was a visionary leader who founded the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in 1925 in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Born on April 1, 1889, he dedicated his life to the cause of national unity and cultural renaissance. A medical doctor by profession, Dr. Hedgewar was deeply influenced by the freedom movement and believed in organizing Hindu society for the nation’s welfare. His vision was to create a disciplined, selfless organization that would work towards building a strong and united India. Through his tireless efforts and unwavering commitment, he laid the foundation of what would become one of the world’s largest voluntary organizations.
